This Saturday, February 5, 2022 and Sunday, February 6, 2022, celebrate the Chinese New Year at the Huntington Library and Gardens in the 626. The event is called the The Huntington’s Chinese New Year Festival.
The event will have lion dancers, a mask-changing artist, martial arts demonstrations, Chinese music, art and craft demonstrations, and more.
If you haven’t been to the Huntington, this is a great chance. The grounds are extremely beautiful on any given day, and this weekend, you’ll have a double whammy with all the celebration.

The festivities will take place in and around the Chinese Garden and other performance spaces.

The Festival will take place from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on both days.

- Calligraphy demonstrations with resident artist Tang Qingnian
- Wushu Tai Chi performances from the Guo Jie Tai Chi Academy
- Chinese floral art displays
- Penjing and viewing stones display
- Chinese dining specials at the Red Car coffee shop, 1919 Cafe, and Jade Court Cafe
- Food trucks, including Dina’s Dumplings, The Tropic Truck, Trapiyaki Truck, Salt N’ Pepper Truck, Fluff Ice, and Drizzle
