As far as shopping centers go, The Point in El Segundo (right by LAX) is ON point.

The breakdown
El Segundo, California is rapidly becoming a really nice area for both younger folks and older folks to hang around during all parts of the day. The Point is one of the cooler additions in the area, joining around 2015 for a cool $80 million dollar investment!
What can you do here?
There are some very high-quality clothing and jewelry shops here; for example, Madewell and Kendra Scott are popular stops at The Point. Don't miss out on Pressed Juicery, which has awesome organic juices, and Sugarfina, which makes for a pretty and stylish (if not delicious) gift!
The Point is a great place to stop by on the weekend, on lunch break for work, and even after work. It's a really chill and upbeat environment that has class and style.
Huge murals, such as a beautiful fish one, really gives The Point character.
There are also tons of chairs and couches around that make lounging in the LA sun easy and accessible. They also have a foosball table for the entertainment of kids and adults alike!
In addition, they have a nice fountain that is great for relaxing next to and taking pictures with.
Grassy areas are aplenty at The Point, and a beautiful water fountain is a great place to sit around and even take pictures with.
Is there food?
The food at The Point is also pretty great; HopDoddy, for example, is a fun burger bar that serves some seriously delicious hamburgers in a happening atmosphere.
One of my favorites is Pressed Juicery--they have more than just juices, too!
Mendocino Farms, with its trademark blue cow mascot and delcious and healthy sandwiches, is also a mainstay at The Point.
How's parking?
Parking isn't too bad at The Point; their parking lot is quite big, and we have never really had an issue finding parking whatsoever.
Basically...
Just follow the trademark modern blue and orange sign, and you'll find your way to The Point! Gather your friends, your family, and whoever else to enjoy a fun and casual day here.
